A FORGETTING OF LIGHT

Inspired by research from Dr Cecilia Muratori & Prof David Lines on German philosopher Jacob Böhme, this large format UV screen print collages depictions of Lucifer, a central figure in Böhme's writing, sourced from The Wellcome Trust archive and featuring elements from Daniel Hopfer's 'Death and the Devil Surprise Two Women' 1520.

Installed in the Medieval undercroft at The Herbert Museum & Art Gallery for Coventry Biennial 2019, commissioned by Warwick University.
